Finding God in Anime (#1)

I am pleased to announce my first devotional! Together with Laura A. Grace, we have pulled together a devotional especially designed for anime lovers. Finding God in Anime features short devotionals by numerous authors!

Fans are saying it’s:

“Inspiring…whether you’ve watched hundreds of anime or not.” ~ Goodreads reviewer

“An immediate buy.” ~ Amazon reviewer

“…[A] beautiful and inspiring devotional…” ~ Goodreads reviewer

So what’s it about?

Being a Christian can be tough. Being an otaku can be tough. But being both at once?

Sometimes it seems easier to become Hokage rather than explaining your faith and passions to others. That is why we otaku have united in this devotional: To encourage otaku like you spiritually and through a medium we all cherish.

In this devotional, you will find God in the animes you know and love. Each devotional presents spiritual lessons found in animes ranging from the world-famous Attack on Titan to fan-favorite Haikyu!! to beloved classics like Cowboy Bebop. Each piece will feature a different theme such as:

  • Human Will vs. The Holy Spirit in Yona of the Dawn
  • Choosing to be Free in Free! Swim Club
  • Not by My Might in My Hero Academia

…and many others! We believe that God can be seen throughout His creation—even in places where people might not intend! So pull out your cosplay and snuggle close with your plushies as you join us in Finding God in Anime.

Rogue (Vampiric Red, #1)

He is Beautiful.

He is terrifying.

He is going to kill her.

Synopsis:

“He leans in, his face vivid and clear. The soft and transparent hairs on his flawlessly smooth cheeks and the individual strands of his light-blond locks cascading from behind his ear as they come untucked are repulsing and lovely at the same time. And up closer, his icy eyes—every shade of blue imaginable—shimmer around slit-like pupils. Then pain plunges muscle deep into her neck.

He is beautiful.

He is terrifying.

He is going to kill her.”

Willow is a vampire hunter with one problem: she’s fascinated by the creatures that murdered her mom. As much as she hates the bloodsuckers, she can’t help but be intrigued by their way of life— a culture unseen to the human eye for centuries. She is determined to train further as a vampire hunter to understand the world and creatures her mom was lost to.

But when her first mission goes terribly wrong, she is captured and nearly killed by a vampire. Rescued by Hanas, the vampire lord neighboring her town, Willow is forced to ally herself with him in order to hunt down her new enemy. But Hanas seems to be hiding something, and Willow wonders if she can actually trust him.

For better or worse, she must learn how to interact with vampires or face the consequences of letting her enemy run rampant.

The revamped edition of an exciting urban fantasy that readers are sinking their fangs into. Rogue (Vampiric Red, #1) includes thrilling new scenes, characters, and adventures previously unseen! This edition also includes a map of Maine and the vampire provinces drawn by Moriah Jane. See what readers are raving about!

Isn’t the cover stunning?! The gorgeous artwork is thanks to Nicole Deal. She did a fantastic job of depicting Willow!

I was inspired to write this story after discovering a lack of clean vampire novels. I find vampires to be fascinating creatures but are often depicted in steamy romance or grotesque thrillers. I wanted a middle ground. So I bring to you Rogue! It’s all the action, all the attractive vampires, and all the interesting tid-bits on a vampiric culture with none of romance or crude content.

I look forward to sharing this tale of action, angst, and fantastical culture with you soon!

The Bloodmoon Festival

Hey! What’s New?

Hello friends! How has the new year been treating you?

This year is looking to have a crazy start for me! I’ll be moving with my family from an apartment into a house (yay!) within the next month or so. Writing tends to go off kilter during moving periods, so I will more than likely be taking a short break to unpack and set up my room.

But never fear! New stories will be coming soon!

The highlights:

  1. The drafting phase for Vampiric Red book 2 is complete! Woohoo! Lord willing, the book will be released in the fall of this year!
  2. I hope to publish another short story! I just completed the draft for a historical fiction piece called Souji. For those familiar with samurai and Japanese history, you’ve guessed it! The story is a fresh take on Okita Souji. I do not have an estimated time for release as Vampiric Red takes higher priority. But I will keep you all updated!
  3. I am starting a fanart section on here! If you draw fanart of any of my stories, I would love to see it! Just tag me on social media, post it in the comments, or email me at moriahjaneauthor@gmail.com I’ll post the art on here as well as share it to my social pages.

That’s all for now. As always, I’ll keep everyone up to date as much as possible. And don’t forget to follow me on my social platforms for quick updates and writing adventures!

See you~!
